Minimum Wage: We’re open to adjustments, not insisting on N250,000 – TUC

The President of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, Festus Osifo has said that the Organised Labour is not insisting on any amount as minimum wage.

Osifo made statement this on Friday while fielding questions on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.

He stated that labour was open to adjustments.

Recall that labour had at the end of the Tripartite Committee meeting insisted on N250,000.

Although the Federal Government’s representatives and the Organised Private Sector offered N62,000, President Bola Tinubu is yet to make known his decision on the matter.

However, Osifo said: “What we said is that for us when we give figures, there is always a room to meander, there is always a room for us to do some adjustment here and there.

“So, there is no figure that is sacrosanct, there is no figure that is cast in stone that both parties will be fixated on it.”
